What you are looking at right now is a housing unit which is a temporary summer home that is developed in the coastal unit of desert on which is set up in 95 km away from the city. This house has an area of 395 square meters and located specifically in Asia District Lima, Peru. As you can see the stretch of the land stands on a moderate slope in a privileged location with a frontal view to a golf course and a lateral view to the sea. And as a starting point of this house, you can see that it stands on a large, comfortable terrace ending in a longitudinal swimming pool. It obviously represents the main living space. While on the both sides of the plot are the green areas that allow the natural illumination on the lower levels of the house.
However, these green areas outline a lighter upper volume and take the stage as the central element when separated from the house. The said volume was given a main role by working it in a closed way and by providing it a light that clearly defines the aesthetic. Also the sun sets towards the back of the lot that provides the necessary shade to the deck by extending the volume’s upper edge. In that way, it makes this house more distinctive and dynamic. The suspended main volume then is capable of showing a notorious diagonal that may be seen in front of the deck and from the outside plot.
Thus, this resulting diagonal is taken as a composition gesture that is repeated as an inclined plane in the entrance, in two stairways and in the irregular openings in the side building. Another is the element which incorporates the diagonal aesthetic is the perimeter walls that provides privacy to the lower level. They also bring together the composition of the suspended upper volume and the lower frame of the secondary bedrooms. Consequently, the materials used here such as the walls are painted in white and the exposed concrete walls and veneered floors in gray.
