Overlooking the bay, this Gordon’s House is set in the hillside which is situated in Sydney, Australia. Well the design of this house composed of three levels and each floor alternatively offset from the boundary by six degree. Meanwhile, the alternating orientation of each tier provides a response to different constraints imposed by the site. The garage floor in this house is skewed to provide an easy access from the adjacent lane. But still it maintains the landscape area at the front of the home. However, the ground level here is on alternate angles northwest towards the view of the bay and the countryside.

This also preserves and improves the vistas from the public street on the southern side of the building. The first floor scissors to create a service of roof terraces and cantilevered overhangs that correspondingly uncover and shield the spaces in the above and below. Thus this ensures that the project does not step on neighbor’s toes, without compromising the quality of the house. It alternates the levels of all pivots around a dramatic double height gallery stairwell. As it accommodates the client’s extensive collection of artwork and it draws the light and air through the center of the home. The paints in the materials with the use of new and salvaged timbers and sandstone are stylish. The architecture is embraced and improved through landscaping which is designed by terragram. Set atop the large existing sandstone that retains the wall on the street, is described as a generous lawn which is surrounded by edible plants and trees.
