Vertical Court has an area of 520.0 square meters which is successfully built by the Praxis Contractors Pte Ltd., the main contractor with the GCE Consulting Engineers as the structural engineer. Completed in the year 2014, we can say that the materials, elements combined are truly effective in displaying the modern and trendy house. On the first level of this house is found a frangipani tree that sits in the middle of a pond, framed by a timber clad box while the double volume living room and the dining room wraps around this courtyard. I am very fascinated by the full height glass façade facing the courtyard which is screened by interlocking vertical and horizontal timber members. Hence, this courtyard offers the house a lot of privacy as well as allowing the sustainable light to enter the center of the house. It also acts as a buffer against noise from a major road a distance away.
